Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Evanston By Ihg, Evanston

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious but being placed facing the highway after requesting a quiet room was disappointing. The service was a bit of a rollercoaster, with some staff being nice and helpful while others were miserable and twitchy. The location was convenient, close to the highway but lacking nearby dining options. The dining experience was unexpectedly good with delicious, fresh food, although it could have had more variety. Despite some ups and downs, the facilities were satisfactory overall.

My stay at the hotel was pleasant overall. The rooms, despite facing the highway and not being ready until the afternoon, were nice and equipped with all the essentials. However, the placement of trash cans was inconvenient. The service was wonderful, with friendly and helpful staff offering dry cleaning, housekeeping, and laundry services. The location, right off the freeway, was perfect for an overnight stay, offering affordable rooms. The dining experience had a good variety of hot selections, mainly to go, including omelets, biscuits, and sausage gravy. Unfortunately, the cold dishes were lacking. The facilities were satisfactory overall.

Staying at the hotel was a delight. The rooms were nicely appointed and spotlessly clean, and being placed on the top floor allowed us to enjoy a fantastic view of the Fourth of July fireworks display. The service we received was absolutely wonderful, particularly from one member of the staff. However, the dining experience wasn't the best, and the location, while perfect for us, had limited restaurant options.
